- Since college days, I was passionate about working into field of renal nutrition and diabetes care
- Hence, I chose to gather an experience in this field and gradually this passion started becoming an enjoyable experience
- With time; I could deep dive into the practical issues faced by patients and undertsand their needs and expectations
- This gradually helped me convert my experience into expertise

- In India, there is a paucity of Dietitians and Nutritionists and when it comes to diseases like kidney disease or diabetes or diabetes related complications; there are all the more fewer Dietitians and Nutritionists available
- With an extensive experience of working with renal and diabetic patients, I could not only understand the expectations from a patient but also from the treating doctors (Nephrologists and Endocrinologists)
- My plans are oriented towards setting up short term as well as long term goals for patients
- For example, short terms goals for renal patients are reversing their high potassium levels or low albumin levels, etc
- This gave a clear path to the patients and it helped me gain the trust of treating Physicians
- A thorough scientific evidence oriented approach became the bedrock of my practice, ensuring a strong research based foundation

- Moreover, I’ve authored two other essential books: “Nutrition Simplified in Dialysis Patients” and “Nutrition Simplified in Transplant Patients.” These insightful guides provide clear and concise dietary guidance tailored to these specific medical contexts.

While in the pre-covid period, traveling to the clinic for nutrition consultation was a huge hassle for patients especially in metro cities; with online consultation facilities, the process became very simple, easy and hassle free

It soon became a blessing in disguise for Dietitians/Nutritionists as well as for patients as they could reach out for nutrition consultation from the comfort of their home

After completion of post-graduation in clinical nutrition and diet therapy, I joined one of the leading dialysis service providers of India where I had the pleasure of serving as Head – Nutritionist for over 12 years
