Inspiration for Nutrition driven entrepreneurship – Nutripreneurship

They say “you haven’t learnt enough, if you haven’t learnt something positive from tough times”
All thanks to Covid-19, Dietitians/Nutritionists were compelled to go online for nutrition consultation services
While in the pre-covid period, traveling to the clinic for nutrition consultation was a huge hassle for patients especially in metro cities; with online consultation facilities, the process became very simple, easy and hassle free
It soon became a blessing in disguise for Dietitians/Nutritionists as well as for patients as they could reach out for nutrition consultation from the comfort of their home

After completion of post-graduation in clinical nutrition and diet therapy, I joined one of the leading dialysis service providers of India where I had the pleasure of serving as Head – Nutritionist for over 12 years

During this tenure, I also pursued Ph.D. from Seth G S Medical College and Hospital, Mumbai

With this, I gained expertise in various diet segments like:
- kidney diet/ renal diet
- dialysis diet
- transplant diet
- diabetes diet
- diet for BP control
- diet for heart problems, etc
With my research background, I could accomplish several researches on patients with kidney disease, dialysis as well as kidney transplant
This helped me in giving my practice a completely evidence based approach
The transition from a one-to-one consultation to online consultation gave me an opportunity to plan innovative ideas for my counseling sessions which was not possible during one-to-one consultation

Co-author of book named “Indian Diets in Kidney Diseases” – a reference book for patients and caregivers dealing with kidney disease; available on leading online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Kindle in Hindi as well as English languages
